Preparing your students for a world of unlimited opportunities

According to the National Governors Association, “Economic growth in the 21st century will be driven by our nation’s ability to both generate ideas and translate them into innovative products and services. Improving high school graduation rates and ensuring that all students are ready for college and the workforce is vital to states’ ability to compete in the global economy. State leaders increasingly view science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) achievement as a critical component of success in college, career and life.”

It’s estimated that by the year 2020, there will be a shortage of computer programmers in excess of one million jobs. Computer science is one of the fastest-growing and most lucrative sectors of the American economy – 70% of STEM jobs in the future will be based in computer science. Yet qualified workers are so scarce that half a million jobs remain unfilled, according to the federal government. Most students still go through school without any exposure to the subject.

Expose your students to computer science and coding

Being introduced to computer science and coding gives students an appreciation of what can be built with technology. We are surrounded by devices controlled by computers. Understanding how they work, and imagining new devices and services, are enhanced by understanding coding.

Of course, not everyone taught coding will become a coder or have a career in information technology. Art is taught in schools with no expectation that the students should become artists. That doesn’t make teaching either any less important.

A viable STEM curriculum for all students is clearly a must in today’s classroom, but many schools and educators lack the background and knowledge of the subject matter.

We only offer “best in class” technology solutions — ones that stand apart from the rest due to their proven ability to improve student learning and teacher effectiveness.

The bottom line is this: Education Technology Partners can help. Our mission is to provide the finest educational software, technology solutions and professional services to educational clients in the central United States.
