As founder and president of Education Technology Partners, Randy Jennings possesses an extensive education and sales background drawing on his unique past experience as an elementary classroom teacher, high school coach and marketing professional. In addition, Randy has held operational management positions for leading education technology companies such as Control Data Corporation, Apple Computer and Thomson Learning.
After leaving the classroom – where he taught 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades and coached at the high school level – Randy joined Control Data Corporation as a sales and business development leader for its PLATO Division. At Apple Computer, Randy held sales, marketing and operational management positions, and was a key member of the senior management team that built Apple’s dominant position in the K-12 market.
As director of Apple’s K-12 operations for the central United States and National Markets program, Randy managed more than 180 employees while generating revenue in excess of $492 million annually. At Thomson Learning, Randy was senior vice president and general manager of Wave/Thomson Learning’s Enterprise Learning Solutions Division, a division he created for the company.
Randy holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and has completed professional development work at the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.
Active in local school and youth activities, Randy currently serves on both the College of Education’s Dean’s Cabinet and the Campaign Steering Committee for the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he has been a guest instructor. He is an Emeritus board member of the University of Missouri-St. Louis Chancellor’s Advisory Council and a past board member of Literacy Investment for Tomorrow – Missouri.
